My Starbucks Rewards

It is almost Christmas, and today, I received a newsletter from Starbucks. It is because I am registered as a member of "My Starbucks Rewards". I did this when I bought a Starbucks card while I was at their branch in the airport of Edinburgh. It was after we landed in Scotland from Stockholm a couple of years ago.

"My Starbucks Rewards" offer great deals. For example, you get to taste the different coffee flavors they brew a few days before they announce it on their boards. That means you get to order it, Instagram it, and hashtag it before the rest of the world will even know these flavors exist. Definitely VIP! They also have deals on food and pastries, and the like.

For example, the newsletter said that Starbucks will now have festively hearty treats such as "Red Velvet Cake", "Snowball Muffins", and mince pies.

This is something I would be looking forward to on my next visit to Starbucks. Near the bottom of the email address, it also said that you can now fill a box with the latest delights they offer! 4 pieces for just GBP 5! They call it "Fill a Bakery Box".

Unfortunately, I doubt that the franchises or branches of Starbucks here in Sweden have that. If the Swedish Starbucks coffee shops had them, I also doubt it would only cost that much, anyway.

I remembered the time when I had a layover at The Heathrow Airport in London while waiting for my flight back to Stockholm, I was again able to use the customer card of "My Starbucks Rewards" in The United Kingdom. The plane landed a little before 6 a.m. so I grabbed a sandwich and a middle-sized cup of tea at Starbucks in The Heathrow Airport. I was not sure if I got any discount of some sort because of the card, but I remember paying only a little over GBP 5. I realized that had I bought the same items in any Starbucks in Sweden, I would have ended up paying almost twice what it costed in the UK. The purchase I made was in The Heathrow Airport, I'm pretty sure that the prices in airports usually cost higher than what they probably normally would.

Anyway, I was just glad that I was able to use the Starbucks customer card again, because you can collect points -- or stars, with each purchase.

If the franchises or branches here in Sweden had the same type of customer card, like "My Starbucks Rewards" in The United Kingdom, I am sure that they wouldn't disappoint, either.

Although, they do have time slots on selected days and special occasions where they offer good deals. A recent one was 2 for 1 coffee from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. last weekend, and THAT beats even the low-prices coffees and teas from any Starbucks in The United Kingdom.

Pictures of the ordered fika and drinks.

For whatever it's worth, I would still have coffee at Starbucks, though. It's definitely worth it.
